By brainchild of the young pioneer Angelo Marin
More than 110 years ago, when Lignano beach was still wild, the Hotel Marin was built up by Angelo Marin, a young pioneer with far-sightedness and joy of adventuring. He soon recognized, that Lignano will become a tourist station in the near future. The material used for building up the hotel had to be delivered by ships coming from Marano.
The following years Angelo Marin was helped by his son Angelo junior and his daughter in law Curzia in leading the hotel. Nowadays his grandson Marco and his family, keep up the leading of the Hotel Marin, continuing the tradition of the Marin family.
